Janice Miller is a child of God, wife, mother, and grandmother. Janice couldn’t wait to go to school so she could learn to read since her momma didn’t have time to read to her all day long. She still doesn’t have time to read all day, but a girl can dream!
A mid-life job loss led her to writing poetry. This opened opportunities for writing dramas and curriculum at church as well as taking writing classes. She published several articles and has won or placed in various poetry contests.
Janice began writing children’s books that she wished had been available when her children were small. Now that she has a granddaughter, Janice wants her to be able to read books from a Christian worldview. Janice is working on several board books and picture books, one of which won the ACFW Kidlit contest and another that was a finalist. Four children’s picture books will be published in 2026-2028.
Janice is a member of a large evangelical church and is a former elementary school teacher, Sunday school teacher, children’s curriculum writer, church playwright, civic theater actress, librarian, office administrator, and adjunct college instructor. She lives in Indiana and is married to a fellow Hoosier. She has two children and one grandchild.
