How do I thank Thee? Let me count the ways. I thank Thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.
With apologies to Elizabeth Barrett Browning, while we should be thankful every day, it is only fitting that we pause at Thanksgiving to thank our Creator and Redeemer for all His blessings.
For what are you thankful? Salvation? Family? Health? Church? Freedom? Do you have a grateful heart? Someone once asked, what if all we have tomorrow is what we thanked God for today?
Sam Crabtree in his 11/27/25 article “48 Ways to Show Thankfulness” (Crossway.org) reminds us to thank God for everything He uses to conform us to the image of Jesus, even those hard things. Thank Him for His mercy in not giving us all we merit. And thank Him for His grace in giving us blessings we don’t deserve. Thank Him that He is always loving, caring, and near to us.
As I Thessalonians 5:15 says, “In everything give thanks, for this God’s will for you in Christ” (NET).
“So I will give you thanks before the nations, O Lord. I will sing praises to You” (Psalm 18:49 NET).
