Happy Father’s Day
Ten years ago this month my dad went home to be with Jesus. I’m so grateful that this godly man was my father. Dad was a talented man with lots of wisdom, though he’d tell you he was just a farmer. But he not only grew crops, he grew kids who learned the value of work, kindness, helpfulness, and compassion. Most of all, he grew kids who loved God.
When Dad became a grandfather, he passed that knowledge along to his grandkids. They would tag along as he traversed the farm. He’d tell them about the corn and beans, about how God cared for all.
Thank you, Dad, for loving us so much. Thank you for caring for us so well. Thank you most of all for introducing us to our Heavenly Father and showing us His love by your words and deeds. I miss you and love you. And I love the Father in Heaven you pointed us to. Happy Father’s Day.
